ABOUT GIRMA


The Research Group on Radiation-Matter Interaction (GIRMA) is a research group belonging to the Physics Department Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University. The research group works as a part of the Institute of Nuclear Fusion (IFN), which consists of researchers of several Spanish universities and its headquarter is located at the Polytechnical University of Madrid.

The GIRMA group activity began in 1989. Sice then we have published several works in national and international scientific journals, book chapters, etc. We have participated on seminars and courses, and we organized the 4th Non-LTE Code Comparison Workshop in 2005, where we have brought together representatives the most important world laboratories in the subject.

Also Several PhD thesis have been realised in the group and we have carried out a great list of Research Projects paid by different institutions.
